Sunshine on a Cloudy Day ~

Good day everyone ~

Question:  how do you get sunshine on a cloudy day, mid-winter?  I think that one "issue" {cloudy days} is one many of us face in our long winterish season here in Montana.  Sunshine.  So when I can't get enough sunshine from outside... this is how I do it ~ inside...
And enter the triple straight stitch.  Almost every machine has one of these... have you used yours lately?
Tip:  lengthen your triple straight stitch... you will get more 'bang for your buck' in your pretty stitching.  I also love having a pretty, polyester type of thread, solid or variegated.
Just a few scraps, bright colors {I know ~ typical me}.  Happy fabrics.  Sparkly threads in unexpected places...
Just a fun little table topper... these are so much fun for me to give as 'sunshiney gifts' to my friends...

"These are a few of my favorite things..."
Thanks for stopping inBlessings on your day~

I definitely have to get through my old backlog of cloudy projects. I like your sunshine WAY better!

Another wonderful piece Leslie! Very cute! I love those happy threads. My very favorite thread is the Coats and Clark trilobal polyester embroidery thread. I love the sheen, and use them ALL THE TIME!

When I read the title of this post my mind automatically went to singing The Temptations, "I've got sunshiiiiiine on a cloudy day. When it's cold outsiiiiiiide, I got the month of May..." but at the end of your post, I switched to Julie Andrews, "These are a few of my favorite things...". Thanks for the joy your posts bring.

Many Blessings to You,
D~~~~

I'm with Donna. I'm singing The Temps song now. That project is a bit of sunshine, that's for sure.

Yes, I've actually used my triple stitch on my 440! When I make my snap bags I use it for closing up the pocket for the metal tape...gives a nice finish and is really secure! Love the colors in this sample!! You go girl!! As you always do!
I've been quiet lately because I haven't been blog reading! Having a cup of coffee and TRYING to catch up...which will never happen!

What a pretty piece, Leslie! I have to confess, though. I've never heard of the triple straight stitch. My machine is a manual one. I probably don't have it.
