Take the Pledge!

Love this message!
I think this would be wonderful hung in anyone's studio!
Perhaps I should have it made into a poster and laminated and take to every class I teach, as well!
So gentle ~ just like Ivory Soap!
Great to use every day!

Here's Your Sign - Forecast

I'm back from vacation time at "The Lake!"  I'm so grateful for that special time with my friends!

And no surprise; we had a great time.  And I'm really excited to share some of our fabulous finds which you will find on the blog this week, as well as some finished projects.
  • we found the most special vintage pillow cases, made as little girls' dresses!
  • beautiful fabrics (of course we went to several quilt stores)
  • a wonderful yarn store in Kalispell MT "Camas Creek Yarns"
  • Chocolate!  Yay!  And it's so pretty (of course I took photos of it!)
  • A great recipe for "Watermelon Granita!"
  • and of course quilting, new postcards, and a couple new stamps I've carved.

We are so thankful to our Lord for our time together to share, laugh, talk and enjoy each other as well as time  to sew, create, take leisurely walks, and of course, EAT!

It's back to a work week for me... I pray and hope your week is starting out fabulous!

Here's a sign I saw on my travels!  And wonderful inspiration!

Here's YOUR SIGN -- Draw Near

This framed poster is a favorite of mine, from Mary Engelbreit, of whom I have LONG  been a fan.
It now hangs in my studio; a lovely reminder of building faith and talking to God as I quilt, design and contemplate!
My former high school teacher;  the most beautiful, and gracious Katie Twedt, (a  fabulous paper artist)
made what has now become my studio  sign:
"Contemporary Art Quilts by Leslie McNeil."  (Love the ORANGE!)
I am honored to be the featured artist this August-September at The Liberty Village Arts Center in my hometown, Chester, MT!  Katie's art will
be featured in November & December, 2011!

Here's YOUR SIGN - Worry

A favorite "sign" so to speak - courtesy of the charming artwork of Mary Engelbreit... and such a great piece of advice.  Worry is a burden, and frankly... a lack of faith!  Praying you have a wonderful Saturday!
