Are you sparkling yet?

Make that "Glitter" thread by Superior.
And then there is another kind of glitter...the kind that comes in a little bottle full of magic liquid...
Iridescent Medium!  I LOVE this stuff.
Shake it up LOTS.  (That's where I burn lots of calories - just kidding; it amounts to about 2 calories, maybe!) Then I pour a little dablette (that's my new word of the day) ... pour it on a tray-palette, dilute it with water (I use my spray bottle).  Then paint it on the postcard printed fabric.  Let it dry!  Then ooh and aahhh...
I bought my bottle at Michaels.  It is meant to be mixed with paint, too, which I love to do!  I imagine it would wash out quite easily if the postcards were to be washed... but that isn't an issue is it?!!!  LOVE the effect.  No glue, no sticky fingers.  Easy as pie!
Christmas postcards... on my 'to-do list' and in the pile to layer up, and free motion quilt.

That's all I got for ya today.   Remember... all comments still count for the weekend giveaway!

Have a great rest of the week!

The finished heart-stamped, postcard...
I love ORANGE and BLUE together. So it was fun to take it outside and photograph it with the flower pots on our patio.

Oopps... can you see where I had to take out some stitching?  I can get rid of that by dragging a pin or needle point over the little holes.  No prob.
I think I really like the opaque white paint.  A few other colors may have mixed in... and I like that too.
EnJOY your day!

Postcard Palooza

Finishing up some postcards as I am preparing for an August-September show at Liberty Village Arts Center.  These are some of the cards I will be packaging up for them.  I like brown on blue...
Purple on blue...
Purple on purple!
I took my machine to the lake; gave a few mini lessons on couching, free motion and feathers to Annette... and also got a little free motion couching action going on with new yarns and cords!
And these finished in oranges:

I stamped this one with pink and purple with some silver action to accent.
 Have a fabulous Saturday!  EnJOY.
